Information about my services

Different people likes to carry out exercise in different ways. In my studio I offer group sessions for up to four people. The group is sometimes some friends coming together and very often a group is put together since there is a demand of a regular group session in Pilates. I plan the session so that we rotate between the reformer machine and work on a mat. I have found this combination is ideal. No lesson is exactly the same.

Duo/Twin lesson

In a Duo/Twin lesson you can train with a friend/partner/family member. It is a great way to do something together with a person you want to hang out with on a regular basis and get fit at the same time. Again, I always listen to what your specific needs are.

Private lessons

Private lessons is something that some people do to get started and learn the teqnique of Pilates but many people prefer to carry on too. This is of course the most efficient way to get a class arranged around your needs and depending on your form, customise the class from lesson to lesson.

Corporate training lessons, boot camp and PT lessons

I have a long experience of setting up training groups within corporate environments, carrying out outdoor bootcamp sessions and of course traditional PT lessons where very often I combine strength exercises with Pilates.

Health Benefits of Pilates

Improves Posture

Pilates focuses on the alignment of the full body, muscle balance and complete range of motion at thejoints. The exercises bring awareness to the body alignment and strengthen the postural muscles around the joints to improve posture.

Strengthens Core

Pilates heavily emphasizes and strengthens the body’s centre (core), where all the movement stemsfrom. The core muscles are the deep muscles of the abdomen and back, and increased core strength will result in reduced back and hip pain and dysfunction of the pelvic floor.

Tones Muscles

This form of exercise engages normally neglected muscle groups and will result in toned muscles if you do it constantly. This is good for people with sedentary lifestyles and old people who lose some muscle tone. Additionally, they also help to reduce muscle tension and joint stress.

Prevents Injury

Pilates is known for fluid movements that ensure the body muscles are balanced to prevent injury. This form of exercise focuses on building dynamic strength to stabilise the joints during movement.

Reduces Back Pain

Because Pilates targets the core, which is made up of the abdominal muscles and the pelvic floor, it can help to decrease back pain. This is because it helps stabilise the back and improve body posture.
